SOMETHING WICKED DOCUFEST
Welcome to Something Wicked DocuFest 2021!
The is the first year of our first spin-off of the original Something Wicked Film Festival. This two-day weekend event is designed to focus on our non-fiction film-makers and their films separate from the original SWFF event. This weekend’s event is made up of three types of film categories. The first category is our “Official Selections” which are all films that are up for awards during the event. Even though all the films are up for awards, some films may not be available for screening purposes. Due to the nature of film festivals and the current status of most of the events being online only several films may not be available to screen due to obligations of other film festival or distribution agreements that be currently in place. Even though we may not be able to screen these films, we hope you will be able to seek them out at other festival events when they are made available to the public.
Other next category of films screening are films that are currently available online for free that my staff and I have found that would be of interest of everyone who loves non-fiction films. These shorts and features are only made available from their respective owners and therefore may disappear at any time so we suggest you watch these whenever you can.
The third category of films screening is actually part of our Spotlight series on celebrated film-maker Robert J. Flaherty who is a pioneer in the art of non-fiction film-making. This selection of shorts and features are required viewing for hardcore non-fiction film-makers. We hope you will enjoy these films as well.
Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our hands our Panel Discussions will no longer be recorded live during the event. We are actually going to record them prior to the event in the hopes that they will be made available throughout the weekend! This is an added bonus as usually you would have to view them as they were being conducted but we are hoping this will allow more content for everyone during the event.
My staff and I hope that you enjoy this weekend event and we hope that we will be able to continue this event along side our regular event for years to come. Thank you all for joining us for SW DocuFest 2021!

Awards
Unlike our previous events, we are not having a formal Awards Ceremony. Below is a list of all the Awards and the Nominees! The actual Award Winners will be announced before the end of the weekend and all images and laurels will be emailed out by Monday following the event. We want to congratulate all film-makers who submitted their films this year and wish their films continued success on the film festival circuit.
