Script Evaluation
Our "Script Evaluation" service are a way for us at SWFF to continue to help film-makers during the pre-production process. It is designed to help you get your script in the best possible condition it can be before sending it off to film festivals or producers.
When you submit your script to us you will get a comprehensive analysis of your script designed to help you find problems that you may not see as well as inform you of the aspects of your script that already make sure story a success. Your script will be given to one of our Script Evaluators who will provide you with a breakdown in two parts - the script notes and the script assessment.
The Script Notes are notes from the evaluator that are directly on your script which includes punctuation, format, character notes, questions about motivation, etc. so you have an idea where in your script we are seeing some problems. The Script Assessment is a complete look at all the aspects of your script from character, theme, plot, action, etc. and then ends with a final look at your script with possible solutions to some of the issues that seem confusing or need further developing.
We want every script to be the best that it can be based on the ideas of the writer as indicated through the script. We maintain that our opinions are just that - opinions, and in no way should be looked at anything other than that but we hope that we can help every screenwriter produce a better script.
We evaluate both shorts and features of all genres and if you think your script has special considerations then let us know that as well. We look forward to reading your script and answering any questions that you might have!

“Kevin's feedback was excellent and on par with paid services I've used from L.A. veterans. He brought up things that showed me he really took the time to read and understand the story. I will definitely use Kevin again as a paid service and would strongly recommend him to anyone thinking of hiring him.”
