WELCOME to SW DocuFest 2023!
My name is Kevin L Powers and I’m the Co-Festival Director and Program Director for the 2023 SW DocuFest Online Festival Event! We are so glad that you will be joining us for the third year of this event which focuses on everything non-fiction in film. We have an amazing lineup of films for you to view and enjoy over the weekend in various sub-genres such as personal, political, social, and character films, to name a few.
This being our third year, we would also like you to enjoy some of the Panel Discussions and Film-maker interviews from years past if you haven’t had a chance to catch up with those as well.
We have a very unique and diverse selection of films this year from film-makers all over the world who are telling their stories their way which leads me directly into our theme this year which is “Create Your Own Stories From a Blank Canvas!” We want to continue encouraging film-makers to tell their stories whether they be personal or for a larger audience, but they should just continue to tell them by any means necessary!
We hope that you enjoy this year’s selection of films and continue to help and support and promote non-fiction films and film-makers. We want you to sit back, relax, and enjoy a weekend of indie shorts and features in your own leisure way.
